Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at applications@clea.mb.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our post-secondary program is designed to support members of Cross Lake pursuing higher education by providing financial assistance and resources. We offer sponsorship for eligible students to attend recognized universities, colleges, and other post-secondary institutions.

The program aims to enhance educational opportunities and empower students to achieve their academic and career goals.

Through this program, students can receive funding for tuition, books, and other essential expenses related to their studies. We also provide guidance throughout the application process, ensuring that students understand the eligibility criteria, application requirements, and available resources.

Our goal is to facilitate access to quality education and create pathways for success in various fields. Whether you’re pursuing a degree, diploma, or certificate, our post-secondary program is here to help you navigate your educational journey and reach your full potential.

You can now apply for sponsorship online!

Please visit our online sponsorship page for more details.

Not all schools are eligible for sponsorship. Private institutions like CDI College or pilot training schools are not accredited institutions. As a result, Indigenous Services Canada does not provide funding for these schools. Consequently, Cross Lake Education Authority will no longer sponsor students attending these private institutions.

A minimum of three courses are required to be considered a full-time student. Two courses or less is considered as Part-time studies. Part-time students are not eligible for student allowance. However, part-time students tuition and books will be covered.

The maximum sponsored course load is five.

CLEA Sponsored Students - Very important! Please note with respect to voluntary withdrawals; you are required to consult your Post Secondary Student Advisor prior to voluntarily withdrawing from any courses in your program.

Any student not abiding by the rules and regulations of their institution or of CLEA or has not shown any willingness to meet academic standards or does not meet the financial criteria will have their sponsorship terminated.
